      The Assyrian Aid Society-Iraq, represented by its president, Mr. Ashur Sargon Eskrya, participated in the workshop implemented by the Smithsonian American Foundation titled " protection and conservation of the cultural heritage of the communities affected by ISIS in Iraq" with sponsorship of the US Department of State, held at headquarters of the Iraqi Institute for the Conservation of Antiquities and Heritage IICAH in Erbil, Apr. 9th – 11th2019, with the attendance of Mr. Knox Thames, US state Department Special Advisor for Religious in the Near East and South/Central Asia, and Mr. Max Primorac, USAID Special Representative for Minority Assistance Programs in Iraq, Mr. Steven Fagin, US Consul General of Erbil, as well as the attendance and participation of a number of representatives of government institutions and civil society organizations.
